Bill has presented two series for BBC
Radio 4 Science; Disasters in Waiting in 2000, and Scientists
Under Pressure in 2001. Other recent television credits include Horizon: The Big Chill, The South Bank Show, The Richard
& Judy Show, and The Terry & Gabby Show. He
was Chief Consultant for the recent BBC blockbuster drama SUPERVOLCANO and accompanying documentaries. He is currently series consultant
for a BBC drama and documentary focusing on the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa
He also played key roles in the highly rates docudrama, Krakatoa (2005),
and the award-winning Wave that Shook the World (2005), both
for Channel 4. In the same year, he wrote and appeared in a Channel
4 News special report on future risks to the UK, which was one of
the ‘top ten clips’ for December 2005.
